2025 Auditions | Spark Theater

It's Audition Season!

It's audition time and we are so extra excited about it this year because

we are doing things we have never done before!

We are including old people (aka adults)!

As you might know, we at Spark have always focused our competition and autumn

season on the amazing young people in our area. We have had 12

amazing autumns auditioning young people and preparing them to perform and take

performances to theater festivals all over Alabama and the southeast.

After 12 summers and autumns hearing our adult parents, volunteers,

and attendees talk about how much they wish they had something like this

we have decided to give them their chance!

So, not only are we preparing to audition with our local kids and teens

but, adults, it's time for you to see how you measure up because

these young people have racked up an overflowing numbers of

large trophies and recognition! They've shown you how it is done!

It's time to join the fun!! And it is definitely fun!!

Here's all you need to know:

10 - 18 yr old cast members:

Fall Show #1 - Box by Lindsay Price

No need to audition! Casts are open to all performers 10 - 18!

First rehearsal is August 12th in our Civitan Studio

at 1330-2 Hartford Hwy 5:30 - 7:30.

Performances September 26th - 27th

Fall Show #2 - Junie B. Jones The Musical Jr

Our "older" casts (16 - adults), you have options:

Fall Show #1 - Silent Sky

We are taking a 5 person cast of 4 female roles and 1 male role (older

teens included) to the Alabama Conference of Theatre (ACT) in Decatur, AL this

October 17 - 19th and performing October 23rd - 25th for our local audiences.

For this cast you just need to prepare a 60 - 90 second monologue.

Fall Show #2 - You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Get ready to bring out your inner child and have some fun!

All of your favorite Charlie Brown characters sing and dance

and have the best playground fun ever!
