It's Audition Season!

It's audition time and we are so extra excited about it this year because

we are doing things we have never done before!

​

We are including old people (aka adults)!

​

As you might know, we at Spark have always focused our competition and autumn

season on the amazing young people in our area. We have had 12

amazing autumns auditioning young people and preparing them to perform and take

performances to theater festivals all over Alabama and the southeast.

​

After 12 summers and autumns hearing our adult parents, volunteers,

and attendees talk about how much they wish they had something like this

we have decided to give them their chance!

​

So, not only are we preparing to audition with our local kids and teens

but, adults, it's time for you to see how you measure up because

these young people have racked up an overflowing numbers of

large trophies and recognition! They've shown you how it is done!

​

It's time to join the fun!! And it is definitely fun!!

​

Here's all you need to know:

​

​For young people: all you need to do is bring a memorized, 60-second monologue and

come ready to have fun! Music, reading material (sides), and instruction on simple

choreography will be provided and taught during your audition time as a team.

It's time to sing, dance, and shine!

​

**If you are 18 yrs old or younger you MUST have a parent or guardian

attend one of our information meetings in July OR they must schedule

phone time with our producer for you to be cast. Absolutely no exceptions.

Our "older" casts (16 +), you have options.

 

We are taking a 4 person cast of 4 female roles (older

teens included) to the Alabama Conference of Theatre (ACT) in Decatur, AL this October

and performing it locally multiple times for audiences.

For this cast you need to prepare a 60 - 90 second monologue and come dressed

comfortably. We will provide the sides and instruction.8

​

Or you can come ready to have some real fun! Bring your warmed up vocal cords

and willingness to have some real fun! Be prepared to bring out the kid in you!

Bring your 60 second monologue and up to 60 second song.

Dress comfortably and pack those most comfy dancing shoes!

No travel for this one. We will perform multiple shows for our local audiences.

Adult ACT Auditions August 4th 6 - 8 pm

Adult Musical Auditions August 9th 10am - 3pm
